Here’s a little update from Faithlyn & Faethe. Enjoy!
Today was a slower morning we woke up around 8:45am and then had breakfast at about 9:30 with the boys. Luckily, we did not have to clean up are bedding and roll up are air mattresses like yesterday. Caleb and I got picked to go Yellowknife with Cole to get a few groceries from Walmart and the Independent. Then after going to both of these stores we could not find fire starter gel, so we also made a trip to Home Hardware and we found the gel. Then for lunch we got to go to McDonalds. When we finally made it back it was time for café. Which I had the role of watching the video games with Kaleb. So, I watched people play Mario Cart for hours and lost every single time except once when I placed 4th. So, the night was lots of fun because I feel that we bonded as a group but also with the teens of Behchoko. And this I felt like a cool experience because I felt the spirt working in the church and with are group which was a cool thing to feel and I hope that we can keep feeling this through the whole trip.

Today was a classic example of how plans change on a dime. The plan of action was to go to the local sportplex and round up kids for our first day of then free café. Due to the stat holiday we soon realized the sportplex was closed, so instead we headed back to the house to pray. All together we prayed for kids to hear about the café and that our church would be filled. Not too much later there were already 2 young boys waiting at the entrances of the church, half an hour early. God is SO good! We got quite a few attendees, some of which were here yesterday, but also some new faces! It was really exciting to see God already working in that place. This afternoon/evening I helped run the art table with Jessica. To begin with not many kids came, but later own we had a full table! A young boy sat that I had met the day before came and painted a picture with us. The best part was that he had heard Jessica singing under her breath which led him to do the same. He sang “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis, I know that song will forever hold a special place in my heart. Another notable occurrence this evening was playing some card games with a group of older boys. It was really fun to see them loosen up as the night went and I had a blast joking around with them (and catching them cheating!). All in all, this day was so great, and I have already made so many memories that I know I’ll never forgot. God is working through all of us and I am so beyond excited for the rest of the week.
Thank you for all the love and support! -Faethe
