Here is an update from Caleb & Jess!
I felt called to go on this trip when It came up in one of the church services. At the time I didn’t know why I felt so called to go on this trip. Now it is getting to be the end of this trip and I have discovered why God wanted me to be in Behchoko. This past week I have made plenty of friends with the kids here, and I also got to know the people on my team better than I knew them before the trip.
I was one of the leaders for the boy’s Alpha sessions, and I noticed at the start of the week everyone was scared to talk about the questions about Christianity. As I neared the end of the week, people became more open about their thoughts and asked more questions.
I am excited to see how the last few days are going to go and I can’t wait to come back sometime.

Good morning all!
Yesterday was a neat day. It has been so encouraging to see our team step into ministry and understand the importance of prayer and being aware of spiritual warfare. What encouraged my heart the most was that with very little facilitating, our team jumped into prayer against the darkness that we felt was slowly creeping in that day. All of a sudden our team had jumped into walking around the Church building in prayer and with deep wisdom. You would again be proud of your kids. Yesterday was also a day where Spiritual Gifts were sought out and some were discovered. God is so so good. He is working in each member of our team, leading them, guiding them, and building a fire within them for Him. They are loving these youth with everything that they have and are searching out God’s will and heart with their actions and words.
As Cole and I stood at the back of the room during Alpha looking at the amount of kids and leaders that we had last night, we were amazed at what God was doing. Yesterday afternoon the team had prayed for Alpha and for God to shut out the darkness and fit it with His light. As we gazed over the room we noticed that there were SO many youth, and they were the most focused we had ever seen them. God answered prayer. God was present. God is peace.
As we head into this last day of ministry I am encouraged after our devotions this morning. We read the passages on Spiritual Gifts, reminding ourselves that we are each a part of a team for God, with each of our gifts holding value and purpose. Currently your kids are prepping the Church for our last Cafe, and I absolutely cannot wait to see what God is going to do today in the lives of our team and each of the youth that enter the building tonight.
